I am a huge brownie lover. They are my favorite dessert! I’ve been wanting to experiment and come up with a white chocolate version for a long time – I finally did it and the results are amazing!! I’m not even a white chocolate lover, but if you like brownies like me, you will love these!! Grab a bowl and a wooden spoon – let’s bake!
It seems strange to describe these as fudgy since they aren’t chocolate, but trust me, they have the same irresistible fudge like texture as a chocolate brownie! I only like fudgy brownies, so this texture was a must for the recipe to be a success for me.
My husband described these as sugar cookie flavored brownies. That is kind of the perfect description! They are buttery and chewy, and sweet but not too sweet. The fudgy centers and crackle tops make these completely addicting!
Even if you don’t normally like white chocolate, I bet you would love these. Like my hubby said, the flavor is more like a sugar cookie. And oh, the aroma that fills the house while these bake…intoxicating!
If you make these Fudgy White Chocolate Blonde Brownie Bars, I would love for you to leave a star rating and comment here on the blog! It’s helps me to know what you are making and loving and it’s helpful to other readers as well!

Made these today and they were so good! I baked for 35 minutes and they came out very chewy, maybe a bit soft in middle. I guess every oven is different and I will adjust, as I as a white chocolate lover will surely make this again. Slightly less sugar next time, though. Thanks very much!
Janice says
Sugar Cookie Brownies we’re a good description. I should have let them cook longer to get chewy. Super moist. The picture looked so good, I had to make them within minutes of seeing it! Thank you for sharing!
Julie Stiefel says
These were amazing! Took them for our family Christmas and they were all gone!
Mojoblogs says
I love brownies, but I haven’t tried white chocolate brownies. This looks really good tho. I can’t wait to try this. Thank you so much for sharing this 🙂
Byenia says
These were delicious! Had some frozen strawberries on hand and made a syrup to drizzle over top – so good! Would definitely make these to give as a gift to others going forward. 🙂
Michael says
Hi.. looks good, how many gram is a cup in your recipe..?
Is it US cup or English cup size?
Linda Williams says
I made these today. They are good, but not what I expected. My thought was that they would be very sweet but that is not the case. I added about 3/4 cup of chopped pecans.
Melting the butter and the chips together was fine, but they wouldn’t incorporate until I used my mixer to blend them. I think I would either increase the amount of sugar, or add in some white chocolate chips at the end. Also, I baked these in a 9 X 13 pan and they baked up wonderfully, they took 28 minutes.
Judy C. says
We added white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts to the batter before baking….yummo! Keeper! Thanks for the recipe!
Stephanie Brubaker says
Sounds awesome, great idea! SO glad you like them 🙂
Chase Newman says
Is this recipe peanut free???
Jamie Hall says
What size pan should be used?
Pamela says
Can’t wait to try these
Amber says
My family and I are absolutely in love with this recipe!!! Our favorite thing to do with them is we put strawberries and whipped cream on top of the white chocolate brownies for strawberry shortcake 😋
Chrissy says
Could this stand up to being the bottom layer of a strawberry ice cream cake? Annnnd, has anyone made this gluten free?
Kat says
I made this several times. Absolutely love it. I lost the bookmark and tried another recipe. My most regret ever! I’m never going to use another recipe ever again!
Mari says
Can I use dark chocolate?
Melanie Weaver says
These are hands down the best blondies!!
sandra says
I made these brownies last night and found that 28 minutes was not long enough for them to bake. I followed the directions exactly and my oven temp is perfect. I had to put them back for another 25 minutes. They did turn out chewy and good.
What happened??
Rose Stacy says
Can’t wait to try this recipe. I can not have Milk or Dark Chocolate. White Chocolate is a yes. I always feel a little left out when only Chocolate Brownies are served.
Debbie says
Do you think these would freeze well?
Stephanie Brubaker says
Yes! 🙂
Laura says
This recipe looks amazing! I’m a white chocolate lover and want to make these TODAY! Do you recommend using a glass or metal baking pan? I’m never sure which is better! Thank You!
Debbie Jones says
Hello, I am desperately in search of the perfect white chocolate blondie which is gooey and fudgy, not cakey!
Yours look lovely!
I am a Brit living in France and wondered if you have the recipe or a similar one in grams?
I would really appreciate your help!
Many thanks,
Debbie
Stephanie Brubaker says
Hi Debbie! Unfortunately at this point I do not have any recipes with measurements in grams. You could always google the measurement to get the conversion to grams. Let me know if you try it 🙂
Laura De Nuntiis says
I know its a brownie but would i be able to make them into cupcake brownies?
Jennifer Smith says
I’m curious to know about that as well! Also, I wonder if you can use a 9×13 pan if you double the recipe?
Karen says
This did not turn out for me. 🙁 I didn’t add any of the white sugar, but followed everything else. I’ll have to retry someday.
Beverly Douglas says
i would think you would need to add all ingredients, esp the sugar!! hahha
Chris says
Ummm….try using all the ingredients. Of course it wont work out if you leave the sugar out.
Duh.
Carri says
This is easily my favorite “Blondie” recipe. I’ve found that most blondie recipes produce heavy, oily bars that I cannot enjoy due to theconsistency. These, though, I’ve found to be absolutely perfect, and have been saved into my very small collection of favorite recipes to bake. Thank you for sharing!
Grace says
Oh. My. Gosh. @.@ I have to try these! I’m starting a brownie binge and I’ve been thinking that white fudge/chocolate would be a delicious brownie flavor. 😀 Brownies are also at the top of my fave list; can’t wait to try this!
ahnah74 says
tried these last night and they are now a favorite! They are perfectly fudgy chewy! lots of compliments on them.
Stephanie Brubaker says
Awesome! Love hearing that, thanks for the comment!
jody says
Hi, when you say “cup” how many grams is that?
Laura says
Hello! I’m Laura from Argentina. I’ve just made this recipe and it get’s toast on the top by cooking it 28 minutes. Next time I’ll cook it less minutes. Because I want it more fudgy.
Alex says
I made them last weekend and found them… a bit bland, I have to admit. I had them bake a bit longer than you recommended, which gave them a nice caramelized top, but overall I think they lack extras like nuts, dried fruit or something. They are super fudgy, sweet and taste like white chocolate, but could be improved ever so slightly.
Helen B says
Can these be doubled and baked in a 9×12 pan?
Merritt stinson says
Found them delicious, but.
Too much butter, greasy to the touch.
Should I use more than 1 cup of flour or cut back on the butter
Stephanie Brubaker says
Hmmm. You could use a bit less butter, but be careful not to cut back too much or they will be dry/cakey instead of fudgy. Hope that helps! 🙂
Deb says
I’ve got these in the oven now to make as a gift… a slight addition made, I’ve dotted frozen raspberries into the batter and pushed them down. Would most likely be nice with either macadamia’s or pistachio’s too. Very easy to make, thank you.
Naomi says
I made these, along with ‘My’ chocolate brownies for a work morning tea and they were amazing! They left the plate quicker than the dark chocolate ones and everyone commented on how delicious they were. I added a cup of lightly roasted and salted macadamia nuts and the combination of gooey white chocolate and crunchy, salty nut was absolutely amazing! This recipe is definitely now one of my, favourite things to cook 🙂
Stephanie Brubaker says
Oh I bet the macadamia nuts were a wonderful addition! I’m so happy you all loved them. Thanks for sharing!
Tuayday says
I made these and they turned out great! My husband loved them. I followed the recepie but did end up having to cook them longer as we like them more chewy than gooey.
Thanks for sharing:)
Austen says
These are my husband’s favorite. He asks for them all the time. Thanks for the recipe!
gina says
I’ve made these multiple times. My husband asks for then often and I usually have most of the ingredients on hand. They are super yummy and the best part is I don’t have to drag out my mixer to make these.
midaa says
made these last night, added macadamia nuts, they were soo gooey at the bottom i thought they might have been undercooked. but they’re sooo delish!
Melanie | Melanie Makes says
Love how rich and decadent these look!
Natasha says
Thank you, thank you for this recipe! I have made three different variations of it in the past two days and each batch has come out fabulous!
Kirsty says
Cant wait to try these out considering white chocolate is the only chocolate I can eat im always looking for new recipe’s with only white chocolate.
Karen says
Made them last night and they came out wonderful. A little hint though, only soften the butter in a separate bowl. Then melt the morsels and combine it with the butter. It comes out way more smooth. Otherwise the butter separates and gets oily and you wind up with a gloppy mess instead of smooth batter.
Arin says
I made these but with slight variation. I doubled the batch and used butterscotch chips (one 11 oz. bag) instead of white chocolate. After baking, dusted the top with a little powdered sugar. They were so easy, perfectly chewy and absolutely divine!
Missy says
This is a great recipe! I was looking for a quick way to use up some white chocolate and this did the trick. I added a small amount of a melted chocolate coconut drizzle to the top. Amazing! I definitely will be using this recipe again! Thanks!
Mr Squid says
These were good, but far too rich for my taste.
Chef Pisces says
I had too much white chocolate at work and I found this recipe. Loved it.
I’ve made white chocolate brownies before but came out too greasy.
These were perfect. Thank you.

Rebecca {foodie with family} says
I’ve never even TRIED white chocolate brownies before but these look great!
Monica says
I do not like the texture of fudgy brownies…I prefer the cake-like ones. How could I make this recipe “cake-like”? Add some flour?
Stephanie says
I have not tried making cake like white brownies, but I would try reducing the butter by 2 TBS, and add 1/3 cup flour. Let me know if you give them a try!
Amanda says
Made these today!! Delish! My husband loved them. I did notice that the ingredients call for vanilla extract but the directions did not mention it. I didn’t even realize it until after they were in the oven. I didn’t notice it in the taste of them though! Just thought I would let you know. Thanks for the recipe. Yum!
Meredith says
These are delicious! I love everything about these brownies. They are easy, quick and beyond great. Thanks for sharing this recipe! It is definitely going in my recipe book.
